Sounds like you definitely could use some more water movement in the tank. Remove all the algae that you can from it, or any other coral in the future. Algae can kill a coral if it covers it.

Sounds like you filled the DT, higher than the slots are, the slots being where the water goes to the back chambers. I have done that before

Besides ph, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, specific gravity you would want to have calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium tests.

Looking good. Do not get a Blue Hippo Tang(Dori), they require a huge tank, think 6 feet long size tank. You could have a nice shrimp goby/pistol shrimp combo. That is very cool to watch. Make sure you are doing your research BEFORE buying, it will save you a lot of money besides potentially...

You have very nice corals. Are you sure that angler is not going to eat those fish or other inverts in the tank?
