1 tomato clown..... would like to add more, is it possible?

chandler, don't dis people and then spew some ridiculous statement like you just made. featherdusters are NOT aggressive msd2. they don't have the ability to be aggressive. they are very nice passive additions to marine tanks.

    Ideas for 5 gallon tank

you could get a couple of sexy shrimp. they stay out in the open all the time. cleaners and fire shrimp get much larger and would probably look disproportionate in a small tank. starfish are very sensitive to salinity and ph changes and would be a challenge in there. snails definitely...

    Advice

there are examples on this board of people keeping bubble tips and long tentacled anemones with the light you are proposing. i have a friend who has had a long-tentacled for about 15 months with the exact same tank and lights you were asking about (40 gallon - 192 watt). condys are a lower...

i tested again today, the 15th, on a tank i know is not zero. it's low, but NOT zero. but the test read zero, AGAIN. i shook the first reagant like crazy, in fact, i shook the snot out of all of them, just for kicks. i'm going to test a freshwater tank tomorrow that i know is around 50. the...

Sand vs pebbles, live vs not, new vs old???

i've got 35 lbs. of live sand in my 30, i didn't want to use a bunch of space with a deep sand bed. it's personal preference really. i'ld skip the cup of live sand unless it's the same color and grain size of sand and just use live rock. the minimum for rock is what you can afford. most...

    Trace Elements & Marine Buffer

trace elements will be replenished through regular waterchanges. many people here dose a two part additive to keep alk, ph, and calcium balanced.

you can email if you want. diddleyd@msn.com this site gets stranger by the day. she was a regular and seemed quite caring and considerate. did she start telling everyone to stop doing waterchanges and to add plants? ha.

i wish that was the case. i've checked the kit on three tanks, two of them i know don't have 0 trates. one was the lfs tank, which they said was "around" 40. my kit=0. my phosphates are 0.03 with a salifert kit. i use marc weiss phosphate and silicate magnet. thanks for the updates.

    red sea nitrate test kit

please do. my first kit, which came with the lab was fine. i watched my nitrates rise and lower after the cycle, but i used all the reagents. so, i bought this one and it's useless. also the the color shades on the test card are noticeably different with the second (stand-alone) kit having...

Can you setup a fuge witout overflow or drilled?

it hangs on the back of the tank like a powerfilter. most people run lights on their refugium at the opposite schedule of their tank lights to prevent ph fluctuation.

    red sea nitrate test kit

i forgot to mention that i've tested the kit on three different tanks, including one at the fish store, which they said was about 40 ppm nitrate. all test zero. this kit is a lemon.
