Cut back your light to about 5-6 hrs and then go from there. I usually run my MH for 5hrs but I also run 2x400w MH

Its for sure going on over 4yrs she has had it. There are not individual polyps either. Its a one piece mat over the top of the rock Meowzer - I thought the same but she would still notice. I did it on two other of her corals she she caught it quickly.

I use them when starting a new tank. After a year I toss them cause if you dont maintain them they can leach out nitrates after a while. So IMO its easier for me not to use them then use them. After all, my tanks has a refugium with 1st layer live sand, 2nd layer crushed coral and 3rd rubble...

I would like to get an answer to this as well. I have purchased Monti twice and both times they did the same exact thing. They got that algae stuff on it, turned white and brittle till it was done. I really want to grow these but I cant. I have them in a 125g with 2x400w Hamilton MH 20k lights...
