    no the tank doesnt have fish yet, just getting an idea of what i want and can put in there. what do you guys think about the pygmy angel? it only stays about 2" i think. 24" to burst swim should be enough for that small of a fish shouldnt it?

    so a green chromis is a good fit for a 24" swim way? the tank is going to be 24Lx16Hx12W what about a pygmy angel, is 24" enough for him to swim around from side to side in? i know they stay the smallest of the pygmy angels. i like 6 lines too, but they deplete the pods too fast.

    what kind of fish can i put in a 24" long tank? i know im going to do a orange spotted shrimp goby to sift the sand, im going to do a clownfish, i have a neon citron goby now, so hell go in there. but what else can i put in there that swims around alot like pygmy angels? thanks.

    now that i think about it, i might just do a 30" tank with one 250w Mh raised up high enough to cover the whole tank, yet still being bright and effective enough to hit the bottom of the tank. whereas if i have a 150, i will have to put it closer and not get nearly as much light spread from side...

    as far as lighting on a 40 breeder... with the T5's... to just do half of the tank... is 24" Retrofit: 2-24W T5 HO Fluorescents enough, or would i be better off going with 4-24w bulbs? i will probably do either a 150w or 250w DE HQI bulb in 14k, maybe even 10k if i can get more growth out of it.

    i understand that. im not sure you read my above posts. during the AM i will have MH during the evening PM i will have actinics. when i am sleeping the moon lights will be on. what i need to figure out, is which type of actinics makes corals "pop" more... the blue or the purple color?

    hes really setting up a 30 gallon, im doing a 75 display with a 30 sump. i was looking for him and came across these brand of skimmers and see they are the smallest rated, but yet still good skimmers ive seen.
