    Mexican turbo snail?

Smell it. If its alive it shouldn't smell much. If its dead, it will be one of the worst things you've ever smelled.

    Best Skimmer

IMHO, the Coralife Super Skimmer is a great starter skimmer. I had one for a year and upgraded when I came across a slightly used ASM G3. Much happier now. Now is a great time to find used reef equipment. Sadly because of the economy, so many people are taking down their tanks and selling off...

    A Question about Snails

Here's the catch 22. Astraea are the best for cleaning glass. They're also the worst at righting themselves if they turn over.

    Difference between sun corals

Google "Tubastraea sp everything" Some good info there. IMHO, I prefer the non branching. I find the branching ones kinda ugly when the polyps are retracted.

Red Hair Algae on new Snails

I just picked up a bunch of Astraeas from a LFS. After acclimating them, I noticed three of them are covered with what appears to be red hair algae. I've never seen red h.a. before. I tried scrubbing it off with a tooth brush, but it didn't help. I'm keeping them isolated for now. Any thoughts...

    Super Skimmer IDEA???

In my experience, Super Skimmers are notorious for overflowing. I wouldn't keep one outside of my sump. Just my 2 cents.

    Feeding Devices

I use a 60 ml catheter syringe. Picked it up at a drugstore for about $1.25. Works better than a turkey baster because with the plunger you can control the rate of release. (If you dont mind getting your arm a bit wet)
