    ufos, need opions

I hate to be the debunker, but a digital camera never captures pure black. It will always leave behind some noise. There is no noise in that photo. Nice try. A better effort would have been a hubcap hanging from a tree limb.

    Coralife Super Skimmer Overflowing

That does make sense. Mines in the sump also. When I add FW I add it to the sump area so Im not shooting FW right into the return. I'll try it in the return pump side next time.

    Coralife Super Skimmer Overflowing

Every time I do a water top off, my CSS 125 collection cup fills up and overflows. I've resorted to turning the dial all the way down before I do a top off and then readjusting it up. Does anyone else have this problem or have any idea for a solution?

    Parents: the no life phase?

With a newborn at 3 weeks you are right, you have no life. After about a month or two things will start to stabilize and things will get easier. Depending on your youngest's disposition, try to all go out for a quick dinner to someplace family friendly, like Chili's or TGI Fridays. Its not a...

    Best Snail for Fuge

What would be a good snail for cleaning the inside glass of a refugium? I have a 5g fuge and the inside is just gross. What snail can right themselves and not eat all my pods?

    Quarantine tank help!

I always use the water from my DT to fill the QT. I have a 75 DT and a 10 QT. Every time I bring home a new fish I also get a good water change for my DT. After the fish are out of QT I dump everything and clean it. FYI, PVC pipe fittings make great aquascape for QTs, lots of places for shy...

    Starting a Kalk Siphon Orally?

I'm guessing it would taste awful, but is it safe to start a dripline siphon of Kalk using your mouth? I know its caustic, but is it so that it would burn your mouth if a little got in there?

    Mag 12 on a 75 Gallon?

I had a Mag 12 on my 75 and it was too much flow. I had to throttle the pump with a ball valve to keep it from surging my sump. I found a deal on a Mag 9.5 and it works great. Couldn't be happier. I did keep the 12 though for a back up just in case the 9.5 fails.

Painting the back of the tank

I used 2.5% limo window tint. It looks great and can easily be removed if you make a mistake or change your mind.

    Bulkheads

I'd go threaded and add a true union ball valve to it. Made my life MUCH easier when I had a few "oversites" that needed correcting.

PH Low! Is it time for Kalk?

Thanks all. Still got to find time to run out and get that air pump. SJimmyH, you bring up a good point about the air tightness of the house. The house is a year old and built very "tight", to the point it came with a fresh air intake fan and timer to keep the air from getting stale. I did...

Open top. I have an AllGlass Mission Canopy with 2 120mm fans that blow across the water when the MHs come on. No oily film. 75 gallon. Megaflow Overflow System (guessing 500 gpm) Magdrive 9.5 return and 3 MaxiJet 1200 powerheads on an Aquarium Systems Natural Wave Timer. I'll try the aerated...
