I have turbos, I put them on the same rock & they mow perfectly around the hair algae

I have a little "green hair algae" on a couple of rocks - doesn't seem to be spreading - Lawnmower Blenny not touching the longer stuff. Can I brush it off the rocks with a toothbrush or something? Will it grow somewhere else if it settles after I brush it off?

IMO I like the titanium heaters with the t'stat by or part of the plug. Very accurate & you don't have to get into the tank to adjust (when necessary).

Sounds like you have some REALLY bad water. I would also have the Culligan rep. check the operation of your water softener. You shouldn't have any calcium buildup with a water softener. Spending $$ & setting up a RO/DI unit with such bad water, you could be changing filters quite often.

just want to throw my .02 in - definitely not a SWF expert. Still a newbie! Is that "LCD dealybob" a thermostat? If it is it shouldn't be on an outside wall anyways & will cause your HVAC system to run more than it should.

Depot has those point of use RO units - FYI. You can buy an adapter to just hook up most units, from swf websites (swf.com!!), to your kitchen faucet

Does anyone else have the red sea max 250? Have you added anything to the tank - i.e. refugium, chiller, powerhead, etc or any other problems. I replaced the heater that came with this system, because the one that came with it wouldn't keep a consistent temp. Also through away the hydrometer...

how many did you find? Have you been able to see the central disk? They were ID as mini brittle or mini serpent stars, but I haven't seen one completely come out yet.

Sorry, don't know what happened to the original picture that I attached. Since posting this I have found at least 5 others of different sizes. This one is the largest, some nights the "arms" come out at least 3 inches.

Check SWF reef packages - it will give you an idea. I would assume it depends also on how much LV you have for them to clean
