there are 2 types of overflows. ones the are built into the tank. this is what you want. then there is what I have.... and external overflow. it's basicaly two boxes with a siphon tube. one box goes in the tank and the water overflows into this box. the other hangs of the back/side of the...

That's right.... the thing is to get the right type of sand. I think it's call tropical play sand.... it's a blue plastic back with a boy onit.... I think... I'll try and take a pic of it when I get home.

you can make a sump out of a 20G tank or robermaid container. it realy isn't that hard! I would stay away from the all in one... as nice as it is.... it's very limiting. and you can build a sump for about $50. the most expensive part... it buy the second tank. I made mine out to of a use...

you should try and get you water movement up to about 20X turnover rate. so your looking at about 1500 GPH. what size pump to you have for you return?

a "Powerhead" is nothing more than an submersable pump that you use to move water! that's all it is. Most is not everyone have them in there display tank and all they do is pump water for curculation. Hope this helps

your skimmer will more than likly get the ammo lock out of the water. I would try and find an LFS that would be willing to hold your fish.... just to be on the safe side... if things get worse. but Like reeffer said... "cant rush the unrushable like cycling"

I would say.... shake the bag.... a lot. what kills the xenia is that the suficate in there own slim. the current removes this extra slim. with no current the slim goes now where.... so move the bag a lot and maybe they will make it....
