help tank exploded at the seam!

Check the stand to ensure that it is level. If it is NOT then, that is why the seam burst. I would not try to fix as suggested, I would scrap it as everyone says. Sorry for your headaches.

Can rain water be used for making saltwater? Pic of my tank.

Nice looking tank. I would not even consider using rain water. To much pollutants in the air.

For those who have a Skimmer.

I did not believe in a skimmer at all until I saw for myself the crap it pulls out of the water. I run mine all the time unless I have to dose something. Maintenance also requires it to be off but just for like 5 minutes a week or everyother week.

How to have a democrat win the presidency.

I am Republican and I am thinking that the American people anyway will vote in a Democrat. They are tired of the deficit and the war so i see the following taking place within the first year: 1. Troops will get pulled out of Iraq to soon. 2. Troop strength will get cut almost in 1/2. 3...

    Did it Cycle???

It can take up tp 4-6 weeks to get an effective cycle; so the answer to your question is NO. It did not cycle fully. if you were to add anything now it would cause a spike. I would suggest the shrimp again and leave it in there until it starts to get fuzzy then take it out.

What causes Monticaps to get algea on them?

Like the title says, I am perplexed why my monticap is getting algea on it. Is it because the lights are to strong? I have 2-36" T-5's with 8 bulbs each 39w each bulb all with their own reflectors. They are on my 125.

Can Sunlight Be Used To Sustain Corals?

Not possible I do believe as the algea would take over big time if left exposed to the sunlight. Plus windows decrease the PAR's needed for corals.
