    Retro VHO question

I was just going to attach the bulbs to a piece of plywood supported over the tank, also do the ballasts have to be hard wired, or can you just wire a plug onto the ballast and plug it in to an outlet?

    Stocking 75g-opinions wanted

A dwarf lion will max out at 6-7" any of the smaller lions are capable of eating a percula, the general rule is you don't want to add anything less than 1/2 the size of the lion, a lion may try to eat anything it thinks it can fit in it's mouth, which is more than seems possible, however...

    Retro VHO question

I am looking to replace the stock lighting on my 220 fish only tank, and i am considering doing a retrofit VHO with an ice cap 660 ballast. Clown Trigger Experiences?

The bottom line is triggers, with the exception of a couple are territorial fish. As small fish the have more space in the tank, and do not feel the need to make more space for themselves, and can live in a community environment for some time with no issues, until they get large and decide to...

    Diseased rocks

you can also boost the temp in the tank to 80-82 to speed up the life cycle of the parasites.

    Diseased rocks

leave the rock in a tank, or container for at least 4-6 weeks with no fish in the system, any parasites on the rock will be gone in that time. This will work for ick, I would assume it would also work for velvet, a parasite with no host will eventually die.

    Stocking 75g-opinions wanted

I would scrap the trigger and tangs, they will outgrow the tank. I would also consider a fuzzy dwarf, or zebra lion instead of the fu man chu, the fu man chu is one of the most difficult lions with regards to accepting prepared foods.

    question about shrimps????

you should be fine with either peppermint or fire shrimp, a coral banded would be more of a gamble. Peppermints tend to do better in groups, however they hide alot, and you will probably seldom see them.

    fish only question

I found some pics of the fish, but haven't found a full tanks shot yet. The tank is built into the wall of my bar in my finished basement, and the bar and trim is done in an older style, so when I set my tank up I wanted it too look "old school" so I used a wet dry sump filter, an ASM skimmer...
