I top off 2 - 2 1/4 gallons daily in my 150. Im looking into adding an auto top off to stop the daily fill ups.(My fuge return chamber is way to small evidently). Thats should be the first step i guess., but the auto top off will work for now and can only help later.
However, Bleach used in a 3:1 (water:bleach) ratio is ok to clean with. It must be dried completely or washed again with a chlorimine remover. Never use any soap in a tank or its parts. you will never get all of the residue out.
