It's a weird coral. Mine may pulse for a long long time and all of a sudden not pulse at all for a while, the longest they've gone without pulsing has been a month and then they started pulsing like nothing happened

Direct sunlight isn't a problem since I've seen tanks that have natural sunlight going in them and they are crystal clear looking. What kind of water flow do you have? Maybe try working around your current power heads so you have enough flow in those areas or upgrade to a bigger flow if needed...

What kind of food do you provide? I had a powder blue that nipped at some corals once in a while, but after I started putting some nori in the tank, he completely stopped.
