Is anyone using solar panels out there on their roofs? I'm thinking of doing this to cut electric bills now that I have two tanks running (and sometimes a kiln) Apparently you get a tax write off and maybe even money back from the electric company if you produce more than you need?

Well now that I see these old and new pics side by side, it definately looks like he's changing. his tail now is all yellow and he is retaining a blue "dot" on his back near his tail...I see this is the normal pattern of the adult color change. so cool. I will take pics periodically so we can...

actually I have two actinics, two aqua blue and 4 6000's. did you put in all 14 bulbs. I only have eight so far... I see what you mean by the red...when all the lights are on, its great, but when I switch off the actinics and leave only the 6000 its a bit red. thanks

I have had this blue face angel now going on three years!!!! and I just accepted the fact that he/she probably wasn't goig to change in captivity....but then yesterday and today I noticed this....is he/she changing???

Ok, I'm slow ...I finally get the concept of the "siphon Break" using airline tubing from the return up to the water surface....I saw a tank today which used this technique and I finally see the point, that it will immediately break the siphon for you instead of continuing to back siphonl...

Also SCInet spent alot of time teaching me how not to electrocute myself again, and since you are drilling and using water, its probably a good idea to plug the drill into a GFCI outlet or use a plug in GFCI. because ultimately the dremel gets a bit wet from all the water.
