    Y???????!!!

Clams have a foot so they can upright themselves if they choose to do so, I have one that every time I tried to upright it, it would go about half ways on it side, it has been that way for about 1 year now.

    Y???????!!!

No, just leave it alone for a while, if it is alive, that mantle will come out. It is a good sign that the clam is totally closed, if it were hanging open, then I would say it was most likely doomed. Just be patient and keep us posted.

    Y???????!!!

Matt, Not sure why it was shipped dry, that makes no sense... Is the mantle starting to show yet. If you tap the shell lightly it should move if it is alive, but that would just stress it. It should be sensitive to lighting changes, try moving your hand over it's light source, and see if it...

Help!! I order fish from this site

I would assume that FedEx has a guarantee on either overnight or 2nd day shipping. I would contact SWF and see what is going on, maybe FedEx will make it right since they did not get the package there as promised... If not, you still have the 15 day guarantee.

I will make SWF.com mad at me for this one!

I run an online business that no way competes with this site, and do well enough that I make my living off of it. It is not as easy as you many may think... The cost of stocking enough inventory can be extremely expensive, knowing what to stock is also interesting as things always seem to...

If the clam is over 2" it does not need fed, that may have caused it's demise. Sorry for your loss.

    Crocea clam turning brown! Help!

No expert here either, but I have had one since April 2007 and it is doing great under T5 lighting in a 75 gallon tank. It has been on the sand bed since I got it. I have the Tek T5 lighting system with 6 54W bulbs and individual parabolic reflectors. I am pretty sure it is the design by...

From my understanding the amount of food that they need to pass by them can cause problems in a closed system.
