Drains to Sump are making so many Bubbles!

this might be frustrating but im not sure how it will stop micro bubbles. The sump is divid into 3 10" sections. The first section has my two drains and the skimmer, 2nd is refugium, and third is the return.

Drains to Sump are making so many Bubbles!

Thats a good idea but the sump is only a 20 long so that might be a prob. when doing this, the rock tub is outa the water right, then the water without bubbles flows through the bottom? Thanks Rob

Drains to Sump are making so many Bubbles!

The topic says it all. I seems like the drains are pulling alot of air down with them and it bubbles under water. The bubbles hit each other and become micro bubbles and are all in the DT. Will a Sock on each drain fix the problem? Thanks in Advance Rob

    Water Flow

you should calculate GPH after headloss too. Most people say their pump pushes 700GPH but after, 3ft head, you might only have 550GPH. For instance in my 20L sps i have a Quiet One 2200 on a CL going through a SQWD. Normally this pumps 580GPH but the SQWD cuts it down to 400-450. I also have...

What do I need to plumb my 105 gal Oceanic?

if i were you id get the double threaded bulkheads. if for some reason you need to do some replumbing it will be much easier to take apart your system. also when you do order bulkheads, make sure you get the right size. A 1.75 inch hole does not meen that u need a 1.75 inch bulkhead.

Too much equipment or not enough

also you might want to add lighting

    What is this?

i would also agre that they are hydroids. sometimes they go away after the tank matures, and sometimes you need to cleen it off the rock. but either way, get rid of em. they supposedly sting corals.

    Sorry for anothr LR? But........

If a tanks subtrate is slowly leaking phosohates into the water, will pourous LR absorb it. And if this rock is used in a different tank, will the rock also leech phosphaters into the water?
