I got a new toadstool this past Saturday and it opened right away. It seemed fine for the first few days. Yesterday and today it has been closed all day long. Is this type of ajustment normal? Open then go into a closed state. Could use help from some stool keepers. Thanks.

Some how a LPS coral fell off some LR and laid on a mushroom colony and caused the tank water to become milky. Is this bad. I'm using carbon and running the skimmer wet. I don't really want to do a water change unless necessary. Thanks.

I have a bare bottom tank. I plan on using carbon this morning. I'm also going to remove all rock and siphon all debris. Lights are off for the day. Some post say to start day 2 with lights on for only 4 hours. Do you agree?

Hello Thomas712, When I do a water change the bucket has a yellow tint, but that could be from the detritus. My nitrates and phosphates are good. It was a lobophyton frag that died. No other problems ever. Not sure how serious it is to my other softies? Thanks

Squidd, I looked at the parts... the left container holds the string wound prefilter (buy hd) the middle is the carbon block the right is the di but what is the top horizontal if any? Is it the membrane? Thanks.

the solenoid is only for automatic shutoff correct? I will be around to watch it, so maybe not necessary. How about the gauge? i can't just buy one from the well section at Home Depot? I haven't examined the unit but I don't know where the flush kit would hook up. Thanks Squidd.
