I purchased this piece a couple of days ago... the reddish areas were all green. My only theory is that it was getting too much light as it was at the top of the tank... I've since moved it down. Any ideas? Amm/trite/trate: 0, SG: 1.026, Temp: 81, Ca: 460

This is what google shows for flowerpot: That is definitely not it. Any other ideas? These polyps do not extend on stalks, they just barely peek out of their holes.

Any ideas? It is still closed up in the pictures, obviously, but the polyps are a light purple/pink color and are flower shaped. I am trying to decide on placement in the tank and want to place it high, but don't want to burn it up if it is a lower light coral. Thanks!

I always keep ~35 gallons mixed up and ready to go running with a heater and a powerhead in my laundry room. It is in a 55ish gallon trash can with wheels. When it is time for a water change, I just wheel it out to the tank and pump water out of it.

Picked up some frags last night, they look great!

Mine does that occasionally, too. It will sit like that for a few days and then be back to normal. It doesn't seem to follow trends in any water quality or lighting issues, it is seemingly random. I cannot explain it for you, but I can say not to be worried.

Count me in for 2 frags of "green giant." The bigger the better. ;-) I'll email you so we can arrange pick up.

The huge gap probably has to do with the fact that the picture was shot 15 minutes after placing it in the tank.... it was probably dealing with a bit of stress.
