What kind of clam do I have?

I got my first clam yesterday... it was a good price, so I couldn't pass on it. It is ~4-5" or so. What kind of clam is it? I was thinking it is a purple crocea, but I wasn't sure.

Heat should definitely not be an issue with the PC's.

I've had a 72" Odyssea PC fixture for several months and it has worked perfectly. Doesn't run hot, turns right on every time. I was happy enough with the brand that I upgraded to their new 1150watt MH/PC combo and it is excellent as well.

It's getting there. I hope that all will go well and by this time next year it will be full for me to enjoy.

A few shots of my tank...

Here are a few new fish that I've picked up. I've gotten a bunch of corals, too, but haven't shot pictures of them. The maroon clown is not new, but the anemone that he is hosting in is. We had a gorgeous rose bubble tip anemone that got sucked through a pump and nearly killed the whole tank...

FS: Red Sea Berlin Classic Skimmer

This is a Berlin Classic used for ~ 1 year under my 150 gallon tank. I believe this skimmer is rated for 200 gallons and it is a sump skimmer. I upgraded because I thought this skimmer wasn't working very well any more, but the problem turned out to be the power head was bad, not the skimmer...

    Octopus skimmer... how noisy?

It wasn't air inlet noise, it was pump noise... but it seems to have quieted down after a few hours. We'll see if it comes back.

    Octopus skimmer... how noisy?

I bought an Octopus 150 and the pump is VERY noisy. However, if i close up the air tube, it is not noisy at all. Is there anything that I can do to quiet it down?
