Looking for more info on this anemone...

so I've been digging around looking for the best deal on lighting I could find.. and I ran across this.. http://www.**************.com/produc...0&pcatid=16770 Would that combined with my current Glo setup give me enough light? I haven't found anything else as fairly priced as that.. it would add...

    Moving an anemone

Hmmm so does anyone have a recomendation for actually attempting to move the anemone. As I have learned a lot more about them, I found a spot in my tank that I'm 70% sure my anemone would love.. As of right now it sits at the very top near the water line on the front of the tank where the least...

    will clowns host this?

it depends on the clowns I would imagine, but mine absolutely love to follow a light. If I am taking picture anytime, or go down at night adn look into the tank with an led at least one of the clowns will come sit in front of the light. very annoying when I'm trying to get pictues of anything...

Looking for more info on this anemone...

I'm going to look into finding a cheap(ish) flourescent setup with 6 bulbs if I can. Aside from that it seems happy enough for now, it still isn't near the full size I saw it that first day (likely it was just straining for light, but the new spot it's found it hasn't been doing that). I suppose...

    wandering and shrinking purple tip

hmm? What's this about a clwon feeding a nem? My perculas, one in particular, has taken very closely to my rose anemone, and it won't leave it it seems like. Since then, though, the nem hasn't taken to any food I offer it. Is it just full from the clown feeding it then?

Looking for more info on this anemone...

The lighting is the Glo 24" dual bulb setup as well as a CF 26 watt that I put up just for the anemone :P. As far as the flood light from my dads I looked into metal halides a bit more, and actually looks like that would work as long as I got the right kind of bulb. Does anyone know a good place...

Looking for more info on this anemone...

hmm, so insufficient lighting can make it contract, as well as make it expand to great lengths to capture light? that's annoying lol. How about the in between, its tenticles are still fairly fat, but it's surface area is much smaller than the picture above.. (I went down earlier and would have...

Looking for more info on this anemone...

3 bulbs currently. 2 normal lighting and one actinic. Last thing I read about feeding mentioned that they seem to like things about 1/4" in size. any truth behind that? I'll cut back its feeding to once a week then, so far its only eaten a single shrimp peice since I've had it, and I'm not...

The tank is a 30 gallon thats been setup since July. ~4" substrate of crushed coral, tankmates include the two percula clowns a watchman goby, flame angel, tiger pistol shrimp, and the clean up crew. Lighting is T5HO, and my skimmer is the corallife for up to 65...

Looking for more info on this anemone...

I got it at the LFS about a week ago. The first three days it constantly moved about the tank, and finally settled down near the skimmer output of all places -.- .. http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...0ac3e54d9b.jpg http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...744ee57716.jpg It has been there ever...
