    you dont have to have a pipe in your overflow to collect your water but most people go with whats called a standpipe. That will make your operation much quieter. Maybe this is what your talking about.

    you want to run the g2 in around 6-8 inches of water so either make your baffles that size or do what i did and make them 12 inches and just build a shelf with eggcrate to hold the skimmer in 8 inches of water.

    If your only transferring over sand/rock/lifestock you already have an not adding anything else then you shouldn't see a cycle. However disturbing the sandbed could release nutrients into the water and cause a small cycle when you add it to the new tank.

    I used them on my 265 that had 1" thick glass and im sure the glass on a 125 is thiner so yes the magnets will work. Depending on how many you go with they should work with your 125.

    If your water temp stops at 82 with your lights on and fans blowing then thats where it will top out at. now if your temp slowely creeps up all day and is 82 when your lights go out then it will make your water hotter.

    82 is fine, set your heater to keep your tank at 80-81 then your daily flux of temp is only 1-2 degrees. Stable temp is whats most important.
