BellaNavis you will want to take your glass tops off or you will have some big time heat issues to deal with.

I only use a rio for mixing up my saltwater for a water change.I have heard to many horror stories about those pumps in people's tanks.

I did'nt say anything was wrong with them.I have heard they are pretty good pumps but I have never used one so I can't comment on the quiet one pumps.Ampmaster makes a good pump,they are pretty strong pumps.

Never used the quiet ones but I can give a thumbs up for the mag pumps though.Clean'em out once in a while and they are a good reliable pump at least the ones I have used have been.

From what I have read the di resin's we typically use in our ro/di units are what are harmful for us.My ro/di unit came with seperate fittings so I could t-off at the ro part of my filter for drinking water and use the ro/di part for my reef. I will see if I can find that article and post it...

I have a center brace in my tank and it does cause a little bit of a shadow,but you get the "ripple" effect going on.Keep the center brace clean and it does'nt present to much of a problem.I would go with 3-250 mh's and use vho's.Pc's just don't last that long and the bulbs need to be changed...

You need to lower the tube inside that hunk of junk. The small one.They are a pain to get out but wiggle it around and get it out and cut it down a few inches.If I remember right I cut my down to about a 6" height from I think they are around 11 or 12" high.After you do that drill a hole through...
