I know it is only a few inches long but how can it not be under water? The bent part of the U should sit on the fram of the tank. If it is not under water you may get bubbles or excess salt creep. If you do add an extension be careful because that diffuser can break eaisily. I know.

Kipass We have an exterminator spray every month ( I hate bugs) While he does not spray near the tank he does spray in the same room along the baseboards. Should I be worried? I was not until I read this post!
