    My Puffer is a wuss

I tried usually timed feeding my puffer when I knew guests were coming. Sometimes it meant feeding everyday, sometimes it meant missing a day. All my fish got used to this and had no problems with strangers visiting the tank.

    Puffer and a snowflake eel

Thanks for the help. My friend decided he didn't want the lion after all(his wife I think talked him out of it). I decided to stay with my lion. He in fact learned a new trick the other day that I've never seen from a lion. I was cleaning the tank and he came to the top begging for food. I...

    Puffer and a snowflake eel

I currently have a 150G tank with a dwarf lion, snowflake eel, blue tang, flame angel, and a foxface. One of my friends is setting up a tank and wants a dwarf lion. I used to have a puffer before I got the lion and the eel and I just loved him. I was thinking about selling my lion to my friend...

for those who have fox face

I just love mine. I got him when he was about 2 inches and now he is about 6 inches. The biggest(for now) fish in the tank but very peaceful to all other tankmates. My daughter and wife love him camouflaged coloring and wish he would stay that way more. He usually only does it when the lights...

    Porcupine puffer

Mine wouldn't eat either for about a week. I finally tried soaking some silversides in garlic and then waving it in front of him. He just went nuts!!!! He started eating to the point I actually had to stop feeding him. That was the last time he ever went on a hunger strike. Within a week I was...

Fuzzy Dwarf Lion's and a Snowflake Eel....

I've got a fuzzy dwarf and a snowflake in a 150G together and they do just fine. The eel has his ship and cave and the lion has his rock and heater. The other 3 fish usually share space with them at one time or another.

    Puffers>????

Did you say 50Gallon??? IMO you are way overstocked allready without adding a puffer or a wrasse as the 3 fish you have listed will all outgrow a 50G very soon.

    Baby dwarf lion feeding

Yeah, I'm really excited. I was worried because he is so small but think now he is on his way. My 6 year old just loves him. her favorite was my last lion and when he died, she cried. When she saw the new lion in my QT she just started jumping up and down. I was somewhat concerned with his size...

    Baby dwarf lion feeding

Success!!! I took a really small silverside and wved it around with a feeding stick today. He seemed curious and swam over to investigate, I released it near one of my powerheads and let the current take it so that it looked like a fish swimming in distress. He immediately snapped it up. I did...

    Baby dwarf lion feeding

Yesterday I was given a very small dwarf lion by one of my neighbors. He had bought it a couple of weeks ago and didn't realize that it and his trigger weren't compatable. He removed it from his tank after a few nipped fins and was going to try and return it when I came over. My dwarf lion died...

    Porcupine Puffer ?

My puffer was just like a puppy dog. Begging for food and spittting water if I didn't feed him fast enough. It got to where he would only be fed by hand. As far as snails and hermits, they won't last long. Even though I thought I was feeding mine enough, he liked to usually have a midnight...

    Death of a Lionfish

Just found out I lost my Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish today. I came home from work and he was laying on the bottom upside down. I removed him and then checked my water. PH-8.3 Salinity-1.023 Nitrates and Nitrites-0 Amonia-0. He was in a 150G with a blue tang, flame angel, foxface, and a snowflake eel...

    Tiger Cowrie question

I just got a Tiger Cowrie snail from my LFS. I've always liked them and did my research and decided I could handle it. I've read on other websites to supplement its diet with pieces of fish and mussel. My question is this...How do I get the fish to stay near the snail? He is currently in my QT...

    Foxface Poisonous...but how much???

Mine usually hides and goes camo when I'm working in the tank. I just try to be aware of what rock he is near. Just LOVE mine, very peaceful fish even though he is the biggest in the tank and loves to beg for food. My daughter wishes he would stay in the camo mode permanentely.
