thanks...if you mean that winding looking acro, that is the newest addition. i put it in at the same time as the fox coral. when the halides go off and the actinics are left on, its purple and green,.. like bright green, its a trip.

you can cycle with uncured rock, you can cycle with anything you want to. the difference is going to be how long will it take. that will all depend on the condition of the rock being used. on lighting, i had the same issue, needed strong lighting and i have a 118g corner so i was limited on...

i did not want lighting to limit me on my coral selection, if this is the case for you. you will want MH. if you get anything else...eventually you will get the MH anyway....just get it now. you can look at it as saving money in the long run.

brown algea is normal during cycling. it will go away. a phos reactor will help keep other types of algea from getting out of hand down the road. did that fish die between your first and second posts? bummer..... dont add too much of a cleaner crew yet, start small...you might not have...
