it may or may not split, there is no way to tell. there are some possible ways to help it along but they are ethically questionable from what i understand. an anenome IMO is not a great critter for a reef tank. they move around when and where they want, and often somewhat avoiding corals, but...

pink tips have a notoriously bad track record. they tend to never 'lock in' their foot and just roll into a crevice and desintegrate. i made the same mistake with one of my first orders from this site and got one for free as the present. its a bad choice, they dont survive and if they do...

the tank is really too new for a star. they eat a lot of the fauna in a long established sandbed rock work.
