    FREE lionfish

He may just be a little stressed from the move. I have heard of lions going a while without eating too. So you're best bet to keep him alive is to keep trying and he'll eventually come around. If you move him again he will just get stressed even more. I'll post again later today.

    Huge frag pack Tyree LE

To make up for my snide comment above, $1000 is actually a good deal. That Purple Monster goes for $150 alone and you can't even get one until May of 2012. There are people out there that would drop $1000 on that without batting an eye. I would do it if I kept SPS.

    Colt Coral bloating

It looks like it's just shrinking down not bloating out. Sould be anything. My Kenya does it all the time.

Can I use this kinds of water for my reef tank?

True on the hair algae. I personally dump tap water straight into my tank. I am right near the great lakes though.

How to catch a fish in a reef tank??

You have to leave traps in for a while so they can get used to it. Make a [hr] out of a straw and rubberband and say goodbye to him. That or have fun removing all your live rock. Best of luck to you!

Thinking of a new tank...Lagoon style?????

You should keep some side viewing. Then you cen see how healthy everything is, how well it's all eating and see what you're doing when you're moving things around. How fun is a clown when you're looking down on him? Sounds like a $30 dot that you can start down at. Put a huge brain in the...

    The Nature Reef

One problem with comparing your tank to others is that you did it. When you fix something in your house you notice all the problems with it because you did it. But to someone else it may look perfect. Make sure there is a ton of tunnels. Places for fish and current to move. Use smaller rocks to...

    Huge frag pack Tyree LE

A deltec is pretty crazy. I wouldn't want something more than one pump I think. More to go wront. I would rather have a nice Iwaki external pump pushing water into something that will work for FAR LESS than $1875.

BRYOPSIS - How to rid my tank

We are having an infestation of BRYOPSIS in a nano. What eats this or how should I remove it. I'm thinking to rip most out by hand, put some good janitors in there and start skimming. I've heard of royal or collector urchins taking care of the problem and some sea hares but it's a chore to get...

    Protein Skimmer once a week

I think many people make this harder than it needs to be and don't realize what your tank can withstand. I use tap water, I top off with tap water directly in the tank. I was a little (ok, a lot) behind on my top off and had to put 8 gallons of fresh water in a 75 gallon (right in the display)...

Tiny Blue Hippo Tang Needs to eat

well the little guy found the algae sheet finally. Well, at least found it enticing. He's been poking at it and filling up. I also cut mysis up into tiny pieces and he can get some of those as they whip by. Looks like he'll do well. I added five fish at the same time to my 75gal which now has...

Tiny Blue Hippo Tang Needs to eat

I bought a tiny blue hippo tang off SWF.com and he is awesome. Problem is, he's so small it's hard for him to eat. I have an algae clip in there that he doesn't seem interested at all in. I fed mysis today on my lunch but he can't fit much in his mouth. I'm goin got try to feed tiny mysis today...

B&W False Percula - NOT BLACK?

Oh thats good to know. Thanks. Now, if she is the only one in the tank she will stay female correct? If I add another now, one will be male and the other will be female in time correct? What if I leave the one in there for about 6 months then put another in. Will the new one become a male?

B&W False Percula - NOT BLACK?

I ordered a "Black & White False Percula - Aquacultured" and it isn't black at all. It is really dark brownish red with white stripes and a yellow/orange face. Do they turn black as they mature or did I get the wrong fish?

trading frags for LPS Rochester NY

Nice! I really don't have much to trade right now so I think I'll stay out of this one. I'm still focusing on my DT and making my animals thrive. Haven't been in the hobby for more than two years and reef tanks for more than 6 months. Tons of reading, six months of doing.
