Gloss paint tends to have a higher viscosity. Flat paint will lay on better. Wash the glass well and whipe it off with an alcohol pad if you have one. tape it off and make your fisrt coat thin. You can put heavier coats on the more teh glass is covered. You could just put it on with a brush...
