For everyone's viewing pleasure.... In the first picture below, that isn't the size of it. It is coming out from under a rock. That is the molt of a cleaner shrimp near it.

Maybe the shrimp is bad. Have you thought about going out and buying a piece or two of fresh and seeing if they will eat that?

eeewww. My fish don't seem bothered by it and I don't see any problems with my corals so I was thinking about leaving it. It certainly didn't bother my pistol shrimp as the shrimp chased it away from it's domain. (It looked like it wanted to eat the molting of the shrimp until I took a photo.)

I made my own. When I set up my new tank I put in a refugium and then when I plumbed it brought the pvc down into the tank instead of putting one of the split bars in. I drilled several holes in different directions in the bar.

I have some blue LED lights that I was going to add to a DIY mini-fuge (I have them on hand instead of buying new white ones). Does anyone know if the blue will macroalgae enough light to grow or should I ante up and buy some white? I'll probably go order some now but am still curious.

Glad to know about the koralia issue. In my reef tank I've got them all covered with black netting (I can't think of the name of the material) so that my anemones don't get caught. I better do that in the seahorse tank I'm currently setting up.
