I'm so happy to hear that you are winning the war on the webbing! I love that name, Typhoid Mary, it really makes me chuckle when I read about her. :)

    Gorgonian ID?

Hi, my name is Ann Marie and I'm a rescuer. :) I know I'm not supposed to be a rescuer and it try not to do it to often but sometimes I just can't help it. So far, the blueberry gorgonian, a black sun coral, and a orange sun coral. I love the ocean and the creatures in it and it hurts me to...

    hitchhiking invert (photos)

I put it in my 30g reef tank. If anything in the tank dies, it has the capacity to crash it. I haven't seen it since I put it in which isn't surprising but I hope that its found a spot.

    Oh oh... Caulpera Whiteout

Bet you touch when someones says not too, huh? I'm like that, don't tell me no unless there is a good reason. (I know the caulpera reasons, kudos to you for disposing of it the right way.)

Yep, that looks just like it. Glad I caught it before it went in with the ponies. Oh my! Just read my marine invert book... recommends 100g tank. Yikes, my biggest is a 29g. Guess it is going in there. If it survives and gets too big, I'll have to revisit where it lives.

This came on some macro-algae. The head reminds me of some sort of basketstar because the 'arms' move independently in towards the mouth. The macro was about to go in a fresh water dip before going into my dwarf seahorse tank when I spotted it. It is very small, perhaps 1.5-inch.

    Oh oh... Caulpera Whiteout

What does white calerpa mean? I was going to ask how you got the calerpa but then I saw you were hiding from the calerpa police. LOL!

What do you do with your RO/DI waste water?

I use it to wash clothes and to water plants, no problems.

    Advice needed ASAP

You can use a sponge on your pre-filter to cover that. I know the slots are really small but since anemones are mainly water, they CAN get sucked in. I use fiberglass window screen to cover my powerheads.

    fish in sump...

I've got a decorator crab down in my sump/fuge (stupid of me to get one!!) as well as some big hermits that keep crawling up into my overflow almost causing just that...an overflow. The fish that I do have in there (yellow-tail blue damsel) my she-clown keeps beating the crap out of when it's...

    Sick Clown!!

Can you post a picture of the clown? I don't feel that I'm experienced enough to give you information on getting rid of ich but others might ask for a photo to confirm that you have diagnosed the problem correctly.

    Gorgonian ID?

Beautiful tanks!!! I look forward to the day that I have a three-digit-gallon tank. Little did my husband know... Joe, how long have you had that yellow gorgonian? I've toyed with the idea of getting one of those for my dwarf tank, but wanted to do more studying before getting one...

    Gorgonian ID?

Well, where it currently is it's needs are being met except for the specific gravity (mine is 1.019). I don't know if it will be able to make a turn around from where it was when I got it but at least it isn't starving to death in a corner at an LDS tank where it was getting too much light and...

So when DO YOU change the filters? I searched and could find any definate answer. Do you change them all at once?

    TDS Meter ???

So, when the TDS starts to go up, are all filters changed at the same time? (Meo, another hijack but you did say you don't mind sharing :) ) When mine hit 1, I ordered the replacement filters and was planning on changing them all this weekend. The replacement filters were a total cost of $65...

    Gorgonian ID?

I was in a LDS the other day and saw in the back of this tank a blue gorgonian that is teetering on deaths door. I'm sure that it wasn't being fed and I couldn't just leave it there. I talked them into selling it to me for a minimal amount to see if I could save it. I'm putting it in my Dwarf...
