    Moved Reef Tank- Nitrate spike

Also the tank never had a hood and it evaporates really fast. I am going to buy one i think... negative fish...bad idea. you want surface airation...evaporation is something that is impossible to get away with. get a ATO or grav fed top off. What's the tank's temp? what's the avg temp in the...

    Water flow for Chaeto?

My question, is a maxijet 1200 to much pressure to run in the fuge or should I go with something smaller? if you have a good flow(a mag 5.5+) as a return, depending on how your baffles are designed, a PH where the chaeto is, is a bad idea...the impeller/sponge will be filled with pieces and...

    Star Fish in Nano

linka's require LOTS of rockwork...and by lots i mean >150lbs...sure it will live, but it's not eating well...they grow fast too...I woulden't. there's a big difference between red stars, brittle stars...and linka's.

    Stupid question of the day...

well if you had a 5 gal nano, you wouldent use a 55gal refuge/sump... but generally it will help reguardless of the tank size...many people run VERy sucessfull tanks without a fuge/sump...others dont.

    baloo6969's tank *Dairy*

Well since I moved my tank, I cant get my nitrates below 15…I used 3 types of tests, powder and drops -> color chart, and drops till purple(not sure of the manufactures of these) what got me thinking was that i did a 25% water change, the nitrates went from 5><10 to just under 20, 6 hours after...

Orbit T-5 48" orbit system for sale Allentown,Pa

in our area there alot...but noone (well anyone with brains) would go to a LFS and buy a 550$ light when you could go OL and get it for 1/4~1/3 of the price...unless you were in a pinch. pluss at 6 months those bulbs will have to be replaced in 3 months...so there's another 150$
