All of you that are makin fun of reefers, do you all actually like fish only tanks over reef tanks? I figured everybody that has fish only wanted a reef tank!

I have a fish only tank with a green star polyp. I cant make fun of reefers cause reef tanks are the coolest tanks of all. If i had the money id buy a 100 gal and stock it full of corals

I think you should look for a 30 gallon tank with an overflow. No nano cubes. Get a stand that can fit a small sump in the bottom and put the skimmer down there. THe bigger the sump, the better.

I have an 18 watt light and it works great for algeas and there is coraline on the base rock i put in there. Im sure the more the better but i think it will be fine.

thanks for the adice. I did feed all the fish well before putting the dottyback in the tank. Ill have to try the rock idea ( i think i have read that one before) and ill try the lights

I dont know if that many watts per gallon could hurt the fish or corals. If it doesnt hurt the corals, than you certainly have enough watts for probably any coral.
