    amonia should be zero!!! ph is low should be at least 8.0 to 8.4 sg ? where are you at with that? has the tank been cycled? temp? my guess is the ph is very low and amonia is toxic to fish

    Proper fish diet

    Brine have very little nutritional value if any. It's more like feeding candy. I would try some frozen Miss shrimp. I usally feed my fish a mixture chopped miss, alege blocks, and flake. This seems to work good.

    I have 2 penguin bio wheel filters (150's) on my 55 gallon. I used to have problem with nitrates until I started taking filters out about 1 to 2 times a week and clean off build up on them. After that my nitrates started to fall off and they are working good.

    Setting up Tank - Assistance Needed

    one tip. put sand in first. once you add water put a plate on the sand and pour water on plate. this will keep sand from stirring up and not clouding up the water really bad and it will clear out quicker.
