i have always used the marine snow.. i just repurchased some new coral for the new set up.. ill let ya know in a few months if the coral dies.. then its back to the drawing board:thinking:

yeah i run my tank at 82 and then on a warm day the tank with the lights on... runs about 84ish or so...i havent ran into any problems so far..been running the tank for about 4 or 5 months now..

just wanted to say nice tank.. i cant wait till my 55 looks like that..

:thinking: hey guys/gals just got a Dispar Anthias the other nite.. and within ten minutes of being released into the tank.. he found my cleaner shrimp... now what is scarying me is that the shrimp is putting his cleaner claws down the fishes mouth.. i mean waaaayyyy down and then the anthias...

sorry to bring up a old subject.. just tested my rates.. and well they were kinda high.. around the 20 ppm mark.. what is the highest you can safely go with out affecting the condition of the tank.. i run my skimmer about every other day.. and feed the fish two small feedings a day.. the cleaner...

i just picked up a coral beauty.. he has bright blues... hes still in the scared/new tank syndrome.. but when he comes out his colors really show.. almost got the flame but had a unknown bump on one of his fins.. so got the coral instead..

i was in the coast guard.. just got doing morning checks on our boats.. and when i first heard about it i thought it was a little air plane that flew into the buildings.... from that day it changed the coast gaurd.. we are now a bigger force then the NYPD for a change... :D
