    stepped on an anemone

Benadryl and motrin. It won't make it go away but, motrin is an anti-inflammatory and helps with discomfort. Benadryl is and antihistamine and will help with any itching or swelling and some of the discomfort. Margaritas do sound a lot better though!

    Bi Color Bleenie

I don't really feed mine anything specific. He roots around and digs through for pellets. BUT...don't get him too soon. Make sure your tank is VERY well established first. A refugium is a good idea. I got my first one (mandarin) too soon and it died. The second one (on lfs suggestion) I...

If it's not one thing, it's another

My FoxFace is very territorial and I think the cucumber got too close to the veggie clip. The cucumber is a sand guy, but hasn't been in it very much lately. Nothing has changed in my tank since I got him 6 mos ago. Did a 10% water change about 6 days ago. Nothing new added to tank in...

If it's not one thing, it's another

There have been many times when I have almost convinced myself to do away with it. But then there are days like today that I am glad I kept it.

If it's not one thing, it's another

My black cucumber is biffing it-I think. Today it is purging all of its guts everywhere. Poor little fella. I have had him for 6 months. Rumor has it that the gut explosion is toxic to fish. So I pulled him out and put him in my hospital tank. Just to be on the safe side. While I was...

    Refugium validity?

Good to know! I'll get mine going this week. I just wasn't sure about the size of the soap dish being sufficient. We are getting ready to move in 6 mos and I don't want to add a big ole refugium just to turn around and take it back down to move. Moving is a hassle enough. Thanks again!

    Refugium validity?

What about he whole soap dish suction cup thing? Has anyone ever had any luck with that? Or is it too easy to be true?

    yet another question :)

I spot feed with a length of old air tubing and a small syringe. It works great. I feed phytofeast too. How often are you feeding them? Are you turning your skimmer or filter off while you feed? I used to do that, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference.

    interesting coral behavior

I love it when something in my tank does that. It just reinforces that you are on the right track. However, my Kenya trees are becoming a pain. I have started putting all of the pieces of kenya on an old pagoda cup that died when I had a heating malfunction. When they get to be a decent...

    Bubble anenome's

I try to feed my anemone about once every two weeks (small pieces of table shrimp). The pig of a clown that I have though snatches up the shrimp and makes a break for it. But the anemone is doing well with out getting all or any of the shrimp. I'm sure he gets some spillage or something...

    Id please

It is messy looking. They lil guy never put his web junk out while I am looking. I can turn my back for 5 seconds and then it is all over. I use some old air tubing and a 60cc syringe to clean debris and gunk off of my rocks all of the time. I think I will try the hot water thing. Or if I...

    Id please

Thanks so much. If I may ask another question...would you clean up the mess they make occasionally or leave it be? It seems to irritate my sebae anemone. I guess to answer my own question, if it really does irritate the anemone, it would move itself elsewhere, right?

    Id please

Sorry, will have to post photo tomorrow if needed. Here's my question. I have a reef tank and in one of the rocks that has a leather coral on it there is something I can't figure out going on. It looks like a the butt end of a snail comes out of the rock, but never all of the way. Just...
