Be prepared for a lot of work if you want to do aggressive and reef. Bioload holy cow, will have trouble keeping chemical levels reef safe and cleanup crew might become food.

Why cooked? I would think the nutrients would be cooked right out of em but I don't know. I feed my aggressives stuff mostly bought raw at the grocery store and frozen at home.

I highly doubt 80 nitrates for 2 days will cause any fish harm. I'm not even sure 80 nitrates for 2 years would cause any harm. More likely there was a prexisting problem or some other stressful condition.

I think theres a very good chance of it. Its youre investment though if you want to risk it go ahead. I have an Urchin and Choco Star in my tank with fish that are normally their predators and its worked out fine so far.

My Tusk was super aggressive to any crabs or shrimp so you will want to watch out for that.

I wouldn't consider triggers safe with corals. While they may not be coral eaters many triggers spend their time roaming the tank and biting on the rock(or corals+anything else). Worth a shot though. I'd expect you'd have more issues keeping nitrates at a respectable level for corals moreso...
