i think that deltec nitrate/phosphate filter uses the same basic principle as the "mega powerful nitrate filter that replaces skimmer, refugium, everything" diy filter on these boards. as for the tangs, i think they're just establishing a pecking together, assuming they've only been in the tank...

i have heard of using 1 or 2 day old aged saltwater for water changes. what is the advantage of that? the reason i am asking is because i just mix mine right after i suck the dirty water out. thanks

the pump is awesome, but the only thing i noticed was that the flow doesnt reach the other side all the way. but, i had to rush out the door right after i set it up, so i didnt get to try out all the features. so, maybe after letting it run for a few days it will reach the other side
