I would say you dont need a skimmer if your tank is cycled and you do regular water changes, you have all you listed in that 10 gallon? what kind of slugs do you have?

ok lights are in ,added some yellow polups , and zoos from my big tank,

you will be in the 1200 to 1300 lb range that should be ok, for where you want to put it, dont feel bad my tank is in the 3800 to 4000 lb range

Not true , only certain nudis release bad toxins into tank, they do have a toxin so that fish wont eat them,here is one of mine I had for 7 months , then the type of sponge it liked ran out,and it dissapeared with no ill effects to my tank
