is there scratches? if you want to get out the algae just use water and a sponge, other wise 2000 grit sandpaper will take out scratches or use Novus Products #1 2 or3 to clean and polish,

I use ro/di water and a tissue, when off at nite, they dry by morning, even though my bulbs are 10inch above the water, they sometimes get small droplets which as we all know leave a small deposit of salt:)
