Thank you! In the previous tank, we found that the pH had dropped to 7.8 but previous tests showed 8.2/8.4. We added the buffer which did help to raise it. Previous tests on this tank also showed normal pH but the test last night indicated 7.8. Any idea what would cause this to continue...

I sincerely hope that you take the advice of one of these people above (that was actually constructive)...and if not, please do take down your tank. Do what you can but if you can't get it cooled off, don't let the fish suffer. Good luck, I'm sorry i don't have any suggestions.
