i would get 20-25 turbo snails 30 blue leg hermits 2-3 sand sifting stars 3 emerald crabs and the rest is up to you theres alot of things that you might like but that will give you a jump on the algea that will start to grow someone else might give you some other things that i left out

do you mean like a versa-top if so one problem is acrylic isnt cheap and glass is thinner than acrylic if you used thin acrylic it would bend and warp and high output lights like halides would melt it

from your tests it looks like somthing has died on you are you missing any fish have you added any live rock i would do a water change and do another test the next day i dont think the phyto caused the problem unless you overdosed the tank try a water change and see what happens

you dont want any light to get to the rock or you will have a problem with hair algea i would add a protein skimmer and test your water and when the cycle is over you can add the rock make suer you keep up with the water changes while its curing

all cucumber will posion a tank if they die and impretty sure they will release toxin if they get stressed so your taking a chance adding one to your tank is it worth it?

you will have to find a pin diagram and use a jumper wire to get it to work i dont thing it would last long around saltwater i would do sal t said and just buy a cheap inveter for a walkman make sure it.s for 12 volts or where you can change the voltage and then you can pick the speed you want...

is there anyone using marine fish & mini-reef interactive support program oin cd-rom it look like it might be handy and for $40 bucks its the same price as a good reef book but i would like to know if its any good before i order it

12 would be fine thats what mine are set at anywhere between 8 and 14 hours a day will work

i want to know what skimmer you use in sump or hang on
