Mines a plastic film. the one thing I hate about it is when water spills between it and the glass, It's a pain to dry out if the tank backs a wall and you have hang-on filters and skimmers like I do.

My guess would be VHO or MH, The power they consume is just part of the factor if its warm where you live. The heat they produce is the other, causing your a/c bill to rise and possibly with MH you may have to run a chiller. I have been very happy with my PCs in that depertment.

I was just wondering what background you prefer on your tanks. I used a Fading blue (light blue at top fades to dark blue at bottom) for a couple of years but recently switched to solid black and I think I like black better b/c it seems to make the tank look deeper and it blends in with black...

I will do that ;) It moved from the mushroom rock on the bottom of the tank to a rock on the very top of the tank the 1st few days it appeared (guess it wanted more light) and hasn't moved since. I have been feeding it alittle zooplankton. Thanks for the quick respons Mike!
