    Attention anyone w/ crushed coral

My tank has not been in great shape lateley. Lots of algae problems! I have had the tank 2 ?might be 3 years now. Got it already established from someone else. Came with crushed coral. Being new to the hobby at that time, I added more! After reading about the down side to this stuff over...

    New toadstoll

It will stand on its own. They are very top heavy and will do this when lights are out or when just opening. After being under light for awhile, it will support itself.

    feather duster tube came off

feather dusters will throw their crown when under stress. Mine just did this. He was in a really high flow area and really blowing around. I moved him someplace else, and he built a new crown, which took some time to start seeing in the tube and is doing fine.

    Check out my new goodie!

Pagoda cups are relatively easy. They need moderate lighting, moderate flow. I had mine in a 19gallon tank on the sand bed under 175w MH. It did great. Unfortnualy, I had problems with my lights and lost half of my coral in that tank. So lighting is important. What do you have for lights...

    changing out substrate

so I was questioning removing my CC subtrate and going "bare bottom", which my husband absol. loves the term!!! I think instead I'm going to go with a thin sand bed. I have so many critters currently in the CC and I want to transfer them over. Can I take all the rock and majority of the water...

    Another lighting question!

So obviously I have not had much luck with my lighting lately. I have prev posted about the ballasts going on my T-5's which is my main DT. I also have a 19 gallon with a 175watt MH hanging light. About 4mos ago I started having problems with MH not wanting to turn on. The bulb would just...

Need info on Catalina Aquarium Solar T5

What is the cost for this light? Fans are important for keeping the unit cool and not building up too much heat in your tank. Have you looked into some other brands for cost comparison. I myself have looked at the big bidding site for these types of things, but keep in mind, it may not come...
