yes I upgraded to the mag3 on my remora and it does a terrific job.....good idea, forgot to tell you this....I have also emailed remora for info and they have a great customer service response time.

check your calcium levels, I have learned that high calcium will indeed make your tank a bit cloudy.....good luck!!

I don't mind the rock debris, some of it looks kind of like fish excretment and that worries me....my filter seems fine and working well...and I think I am going to try to get the flow positioned better tomorrow on my next water change. My lfs cracks me up, says I should wait and do changes...

my sand started so nice and white. Tank is 3 months old....do have some brown sand on top I am told that it is old diatom. I can deal with this, but does not seem to be going away, one thing I have noticed is that I have some "stuff" ..little pieces of debri and such laying on the substrate...

do you have a grounding plug in your tank? The twitching also could be from small electrical impulses from all your electrical gadgets. Very important!

HELLO!! all are doing great in tank so it seems, we do regular water changes 10% weekly.....have alot of diatoms on the sand....went and took the water to lfs today...calcium through the roof, over 1000 ugh...what is causing this???? I am not adding ANYTHING because I have been high in the 600's...

I wanted to think this was diatoms but not sure. It is a very bold goldish color algae and it is taking over my sandbed. The only difference I have made truly is that I have changed to stronger lighting. I have a cleaner crew but they don't seem to go to it at all. I have no other algae...
