my special reef light is broken...and for now till the replacement I only have 40 watt light

I only have 40 watt fluroscent.............till i;m going to get my reef light....do you think that my soft corals...like xenia..would survive under that light till tuesday?

HI..I have a 55gl reef tank..and my light broke yesterday.....I called all the stores in my are and nobody has it in stock....but I manage to find it at the online store ..they told me that I would get it on Tuesday...do you think my corals and fishies would survive without a light for that long?

sorry i believe its an MTC skimmer.

the tank is almost 4 months old. I have 80lbs of live sand so about 4 in. or so of sand and a little over 100lbs of rock. it has 1 350mph powerhead. There is no other filtration. Orignally it had a fluval but i thought that was the source of my trates and others on the board told me to ditch it.

I have a Protein Skimmer on my 55gl tank...and all my water parameters are pretty normal, nitrates are 20 , nitrites and amonia are 0, ph is 8.2 and calcium and alc are normal. Why is everything pretty normal but my water isn't clear? Is there anything I can use to clear the water? Thank you!

Thank you for welcoming me =) I test my water every day..and for past two weeks my nitrites are .25 nitrates are 20 my fish tank is 3 month old...and I do not understand why oversudden my nitrites and nitrates went up...:( but I already bought a skimmer to help me with that =) I didn't add...
