I just bought a 55gal tank to use as a sump/fuge. I noticed it said "tempered glass do not drill" I need to drill an opening for a bulkhead fitting. Does anybody know about this?

Sorry but I wasn't sure whjat the 1.5 represented. So I figured that out and I figure 3.5 should be enough for backwash. Is this correct? This is also assuming that I will loose only 1.5 inches of water from my main tank.

squidd, I measured my 55gal 48x12x1.5=864/231=3.74 How is this to help me figure out how high my baffles should be? Also I an not sure how to place the baffles. How high off the bottom should they be? How far apart should they be?

Ok Ok if I do one of the scenarios above, which is better? As you can see, the one with 4 VHO's give me more light at a cheaper cost.

Ok here is what I decided to get 3 MH ballast HQI 150w 3 MH double ended 150w 20000k 2 VHO Daylight 10,000k 1 ballast for the 2 VHO Total watts = 770 almost 6 1/2 wpg Is this good enough to keep a good selection of corals?
