Welcome to the world of better lighting. This is normal. How long are you running your lights? You want to keep them at or below 8 hours. You will still get algae just maybe not so bad. I have to clean my glass everyday.

I purchased a seaclone 100 model, the new and improved version and it works great. I haven't had any trouble with it at all on my 55 gallon reef tank.

Just checked it out...thats awesome! I'm in the computer business. Think I will set one up on my 55 gallon.

I had two anemones that this happened to. I started putting foam on my powerheads. No more problems now...

You need to cut down on the amount of time your lights are on especially the 10k bulbs, I only run mine for a max of 8 hours, that will help cut down on the algae growth.

Make sure you have the power pack plugged in to the back otherwise the led's don't work. I made the same mistake....

Haven't tried that yet as I just have set it up...I have a timer so let me set it up tonight and I will post a message late Wed....

Ok I have resetup my 55 gallon tank and I have 2 flourecent lights 15 watt 18inch bulbs. I just want to improve my lighting a little bit. What retro fit kit would I need. I have been searching the internet but it's a little confusing. I have always recieved great advise from the people here...

Well I'm now keeping my skimmer as I have resetup another tank. I missed my fish!
