    Ok I've ntoiced that according to a new digital PH monitor (that I calibrated with two different known PH solutions) my PH is low and I need to raise it. Anyone have any good solutions? PH - 8.04 NH4 - 0 NO3 - 0 NO2 - 0 CA - 380 Thanks!

    Sounds very much like Ich... you might want to get a tank to keep new fish in for a few weeks to make sure that they are healthy.     Brown Spots in My Sand

    The brown spots (likely diatoms) themselves are not indicators... you really need to test your levels and watch for the spikes in NH4 then NO2 and then NO3.

    Tested my levels today... PH: 8.3 Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 0 Ca: 380 ppm I really only tested Calcium to see the test kit work... I still need to do the Harndess/Alk test in a few mins but things are looking good!! I think I'm going to add some live rock today! Woohoo!!
