    6 Pack!!!

:) Thanks for all the great comments! NM Reef - They were taken with a Nikon D100 - got to love that camera!!! Tinydove - #2 is a Longnose Hawkfish - They are a great addition to a reef tank -- without a swim bladder they spend a lot of time sitting on top of your coral. I think you got to...

    ozone users

I dose ozone and agree that it does make the tank "ultra clear". I have the unit set to around 20 mg/hr and controlled by an ORP monitor set around 375mv in my 90 gal reef. Other that the tank clarity, I question if it improves water quality as a whole. :happyfish

    Denitrification

I am like you - hate water changes. So I did some reading on denitrification units. Purchased one that held the water for a while and batched it back into the sump. It was controlled via an ORP monitor. Results !) Followed the directions line by line. Took about 3 months to slowly drop the ORP...

    lobsters

When I first started out, I got a lobster for my daughters 28 gal bowfront. He hid most of the time until one day I was feeding and he stuck his claw out and grabbed onto the belly of a small puffer. He blew up like a balloon that was about to burst. I had to go in and free the poor guy. After...

Have been using one for about a year now. I just pull the plug, remove the cup and give it a good cleaning.

    Nikon D100

I am considering the purchase of the Nikon D100, have been a Nikon user for years including the F5 for the past 2 years or so. Some basic questions: 1) I have read that the exposures are slightly on the underexposed side, and that the in camera sharpening leaves the photos a little soft, does...

    It's called: post a pic.

I have been told that they are saddleback clowns, but if anyone can confirm that jump in. They are all dark red with darker coloring - almost black as you move towards the tail.

    Opinons on The Turboflotor 1000

I don't think it would be too big for a 50, but I tend to up-size on equipment as much as possible. I would have went for the Euro-Reef but they did not fit in my sump. Can you really have too much skimming??
