    Opinons on The Turboflotor 1000

I have been using the Turbofloater 1000 multi for about 8 months now. I think it works great. It requires a lot less adjustment then the previous skimmer I had. I find as the cup starts to fill and the inside of the inverted funnel becomes real gunky the collection rate drops a little, so I tend...

    90 tank setups

Amanda Yep its a tube anemone. I understand its more of a worm then a true anemone. It has been doing real well but as it grows you have to watch it, it spreads out pretty far and can be aggressive. I think it has been doing battle with my frogspawn and winning. Here is a close up.

    Stablizing Ph

I have a similar situation. My tank all winter (heating) and now again in the summer (Central AC) has a Ph around 7.8 during the days with the lights on. Both Alk and Ca are right on (alk = 4.0 Ca = 420). But in the spring without heating or AC and the windows open it is in the range of 8.0...

    User Names?

Fda483 is the list of problems the FDA find when they inspect a drug manufacturing facility. After 20 years in pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, I have made a career out of assuring my company does not get Fda483's.

    90 gal at 9 Months

Wow thanks for all the comments: DfishH - The anthis are great fish I have 4 in the tank and they are doing great. I have read about the need for multiple feedings but I only feed once daily. I am afraid of the quality going down if I do more. So far they are doing great. Civickid - I have 4 96W...

    RO/DI Kent Marine Question

My experience was once the pores in the membrane clog its too late to save it. Only one of the expensive lessons I have learned in this hobby

    RO/DI Kent Marine Question

I have the same unit and did the same as you. Held off on the flush kit, then in about 6 months the units output fell off to almost nothing. Tried to change all of the other components but it did not help. Had to purchased another membrane along with the flush kit. Its been about 3 months now...

    Carbon use.

Running 7 pounds of carbon 24/7 in an Ocean Clear canister for the past 6 months. Change it every 3 months. May be overkill but tank (90 gal reef) has never been cleaner (no tint to water). So far no increase in nitrates.

    Cyclop-eeze pretty please.....

First off since this is my first post I would like to thank everyone for the great information on this board. While I still have a lot to learn in this hobby the info I have learned from this board has changed my 90 gal reef from a "death trap" into a stable reef environment. Now as for...
