Make sure you get a 'fresh' shimp, many are treated to keep them 'looking' fresh. A good sniff should tell you. I 'think' it is is chlorine they treat it with. Someboddy correct me if I am wrong please Alane Originally Posted by yannifish Ok, I'll cycle with with shrimp. The inverts I'm putting...

    Tangs versus Fenner and Anthias

Ok, I have read a lot of info on tangs here. Some same must have 6 foot long, some say not. I looked it up in Fenner's book today, 75 is fine ;) plus I asked about anthias for tank on here. They are challenging to keep and demand the skills of an experienced hobbyist. (i'm not) so back to...

    Live Rock

no copper, all fish got ich, I set up a QT tank up, but not in time, so lost them. I drained the tank and scrubbed good, even though no copper. I also let the tank set for a LOOOG time completely empty. I think I will be safe with curing LR in tank and now know I can buy sand at same time...

I didn't like the maintence guy, fired him after tank crashed, and decided to go reef on my own with yall's help :) This rock is not from a fresh water tank but from my previous fo tank. I haven't bouut...

Everytime I do a water change I get water all over my new carpet. It has a glass middle 'bar' that prevents me from getting in there good. I am still cycling a 75 G and curing rock. Ok...the silly part. Can I buy a brand new small wet dry vac to suck out the old if I keep it clean? I hate...

Yeah, I have never had any problems except while in a room, but that is the most experience I have had with. I don't mind the exra $$ do they make them to fit into a regular ballast, or will I need to buy another one. Alane Originally Posted by DragonZim If you are at all concerned about...

I am redoing my master suite and put the aquarium in there, so on my bad days, I could listen to the soft sounds etc while lying down. So far, I have not...
